Time improvements, especially at the entry level of the sport can and often do fluctuate. In fact, because we do not disqualify for stroke infractions at Novice Meets, swimmer times can actually become slower due to technique improvement, as their strokes become more "legal." While this is not always the case, it is often an overlooked aspect of development at the entry level.
First Competitive Swimming Meet: David Beech, Mason Meier, Noah Palmer, and Carl Sharitt.
