Seventeen TNT swimmers competed at the 2020 Southeastern Swimming Short Course Championships, February 21 - 23, in Huntsville, AL.  TNT swimmers had a great meet, accounting for 1 Outstanding Female Performance Award, 1 Age Group High Point Award, 1 New Southeastern Record, 3 New Junior National Qualifying Times, 8 Finalists, 16 New Team Records, 17 Improved Time Standards, 38 medals, 64 Improved Times.  TNT finished 11 th place in team scoring among more than 50 participating teams.































Special mention must be made of several exceptional performances by TNT swimmers during the course of the three day meet.

Levenia Sim, 13, earned Southeastern Swimming's Outstanding
Female Perormance Award for her Power Point score in the 100
butterfly,and also won the 13 - 14 High Point Age Group Award. 
Levenia's time in the 200 butterfly, broke a 42 year old Southeastern
Swimming Record in the 13 - 14 girls 200 butterfly.  The previous
record was set in 1978 by swimming legend, Tracey Caulkins.
Levenia earned 4 individual first place finishes, including the 100
fly, 200 fly, 100 free, 200 breast.

TNT's Senior Girls Medley Relay Team of Elizabeth Chen
(backstroke), Letitia Sim (breaststroke), Kaleigh Spears (butterfly)
and Levenia Sim (freestyle), teamed - up to win the Senior Girls
400 Medley Relay. The girls victory was the first ever by a TNT relay
team at the SES Championships, and also qualified for the 2020
Speedo Junior National Winter Championships.

Trey Sheils, 18, who was competiting in his final Southeastern
SC Championship, had a great meet. Trey won six medals to become
the first TNT male athlete to medal in every stroke at a single SES
Championship Meet. Trey finished first place in both the Senior Boys
100 and 200 breaststrokes, 3rd place in the 50 and 100 freestyle (all 
new team records), 5th place in the 100 butterfly and sixth in the 100
backstroke.

Senior Girls 400 Medley Relay
Southeastern SC Champions
Letitia Sim, 16, became the first TNT swimmer to win
medals in every stroke, including the individual medley,
in a single SES Championship Meet.  Letitia finished
first place in 3 individual events, including the Senior
girls 400 IM, 100 breaststroke and 200 butterfly.  She
also earned medals in the 100 fly, 200 back and 50 free.

Elizabeth Chen, 14, who won 3 individual first place
medals in the 13 - 14 girls 50 and 100 backstroke, and
in the 200 individual medley. Elizabeth also won medals
in the 200 butterfly and 400 individual medley. 

Dane Goodman, 12, who won first place the 11 - 12
boys 50 backstroke, also earned medals in five other
individual events, including the 100 backstroke, 100 IM,
100 fly, 50 fly and 200 IM.
